Brandon Hurlbut

Brandon is a co-founder of Overture and leads on portfolio success. Brandon is also a co-founder of Boundary Stone Partners. He is a leader on policy, finance, technology, advocacy, law, politics, and media. He served as U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Chief of Staff and in the White House as the President’s liaison to the energy and environment cabinet agencies. Brandon provided leadership and counsel to the White House and Cabinet Secretaries during high profile initiatives and challenges including deployment of $90 billion in clean energy investments under the Obama Recovery Act, the Fukushima nuclear accident in Japan, the Gulf oil spill, and Hurricane Sandy. At the DOE, Brandon served on the investment committee for the department’s $38 billion clean energy fund.
Brandon is a co-founder of Overture and Operating Partner at NGP’s energy transition growth equity fund. Brandon holds a J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center and BA from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
